Companion Care Services

Meaningful social support and companionship to keep you connected, engaged, and enjoying life.

Reducing Loneliness, Building Connection

Social isolation and loneliness are among the greatest challenges facing older Australians and people living with disability. At Engage Care Services, we believe that meaningful human connection is essential to health and happiness. Our companion care services provide friendly, reliable companionship that helps you stay socially engaged, mentally stimulated, and emotionally supported.

Our companion carers are carefully selected for their warm, empathetic nature and genuine interest in people. They are not just support workers; they become trusted friends who look forward to spending time with you. Whether it is sharing a cup of tea and a chat, going for a walk in the park, or attending a community event together, our companions make every visit enjoyable and enriching.

Research shows that regular social interaction has a profound impact on mental health, cognitive function, and even physical wellbeing. Our companion care services are designed to combat the effects of isolation and help you maintain a fulfilling, active lifestyle regardless of your circumstances.

What Our Companion Care Includes

Our companion care services are tailored to your interests and needs, and may include:

Community Access and Participation

Staying connected to your community is vital for your sense of belonging and purpose. Our companion carers can support you to access community facilities, attend local events, join social groups, and participate in activities that interest you. Whether you enjoy gardening clubs, art classes, sporting events, or simply browsing the local markets, we help make it possible.

For NDIS participants, community access and social participation may be funded under your plan. We work with your support coordinator to ensure these activities align with your goals and contribute to building your confidence and independence in community settings.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Companion care plays a vital role in supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing. Our carers are trained to recognise signs of depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline, and they work collaboratively with families and health professionals to ensure you receive the holistic support you need.

Beyond the practical aspects of companionship, our carers provide emotional support, encouragement, and a listening ear. They help you feel valued, heard, and respected. For people living with dementia or other cognitive conditions, our companion carers use person-centred communication techniques to create positive, meaningful interactions that enhance quality of life.
